The EV4 is the newest model in Kia's expanding 'EV' automobile lineup.
With a range of up to 391 miles, the newcomer is scheduled to go on sale in the second half of the year.
The EV4, which is a more traditional hatchback or saloon, sits between the EV3 and EV5 SUVs.
It will go on sale as a competitor to vehicles such as the Tesla Model 3 and the Renault Megane E-Tech and VW ID3.
Like the EV3 and EV6, the EV4 is built on Kia's E-GMP platform. It will be available with a 204PS motor and either a 58kWh or an 81kWh battery.
Up to 255 miles can be covered with the smaller battery in the hatchback and 267 miles in the EV4 sedan.
The EV4 saloon can go 391 miles with the 81kWh battery, compared to 367 miles with the hatchback.
Both units may be charged from 10% to 80% in about 30 minutes thanks to DC rapid charging.
A 30-inch digital cockpit consisting of three screens is integrated into the EV4. A floating panel seamlessly integrates the digital instrument cluster, climate control panel, and centre infotainment touchscreen.
Although the interior design is simple, Kia has kept some physical switchgear for access to important features.
Later this year, the Kia EV4's complete specs and cost will be made public.
