The PV5 van, Kia's first commercial vehicle, has been formally introduced.
When the PV5 goes on sale in the second half of 2025, it will be available in a variety of configurations and was built with modularity in mind.
The PV5 will be available from Kia as a panel van, passenger carrier, and chassis cab.
The van made use of a custom electric vehicle (EV) platform that was created especially for business use.
Three battery sizes are available: 43.3, 51.5, and 71.2 kWh. According to Kia, the PV5's maximum range is 248 miles.
The front wheels are powered by a single motor that produces 163 PS and 250 Nm.
The boxy appearance of the PV5 Cargo is a reflection of its improved space economy. Twin side-opening tailboard doors in the back make loading and unloading simple.
Utilising the van's low beltline and spacious window area, the PV5 Passenger has a single lift-up tailboard at the back.
Both cars have black geometric rocker panels and wheel arch claddings that connect the upper and lower bodies and provide continuity with Kia's SUV series.
Standard variants such Passenger, Cargo, Chassis-Cab, WAV (Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle), and Family are made possible by Kia's innovative Flexible Body System, which allows body components to be assembled modularly. The Crew, Drop Side, Box Van, Freezer Box, Prime (a more complex model based on Passenger), and Light Camper are among the modification models that will be available.
The inside of the PV5 may be customised to your specifications thanks to its modular architecture. A variety of accessories will be available from Kia to improve usability and storage.
Later this year, the Kia PV5's complete specs and UK pricing will be revealed.
